Christmas in the Canadian Rockies

Calgary Canada December 29, 2011 (www.hospitalitybusinessnews.com) We have spent the past week here in Calgary and last night we were at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel. A majestic property over looking mount Rundel. The hotel was built by Canadian Pacific Railway and then became part of Canadian Pacific Hotels. The original hotel opened in June 1888. Since then there have been numerous renovations and additions making the hotel one of the top in Canada. I worked at the hotel in 1982-1983 in the accounts department. The rooms are a bit more expensive now, but it is a wonderful place to visit. Below is a picture of the "old" hotel main entrance.
